The non-profit association nyendo.lernen e.V. creates solidarity and entrepreneurial understanding for a good cause: Together with schools in Germany and Austria, the volunteers support Kenyan communities. School students in Europe develop fundraising and trading projects, learn entrepreneurial skills, and look beyond their own horizons. The money generated — a total of 176,000€ by December 2021 — has already directly benefited 16 project schools in the slums of Nairobi and has financed an IT training center in Kenya to educate young people and give them a perspective on the job market.

For nyendo.lernen, I redesigned their handout on development cooperation (“Entwicklungszusammenarbeit”). Embedded on their website, it is meant to inform as a digital document. It describes the association's approach and shows current figures, successes, and awards they’ve received for their commitment. The choice of visuals and the use of color were particularly significant. In the volunteers’ archive, I picked the photos that especially "speak" to viewers and show the story and scope of the development cooperation. The handout is designed with the nyendo.lernen colors: orange, yellow and gray.
